We’ve been informed by the retailers featured on our ghd price comparison pages, that the limited edition ghd rare stylers are quickly selling out.
The ghd rare styler, with black gloss finish and gold plates was launched back in May and has proven very popular. As with all limited editions, once they are gone they are gone, so this could be your last chance to get your hands on this beautiful styler.

What does ghd stand for? Well this one is nice and easy, although it is a question we are asked frequently.
ghd stands for “good hair day”, and since their launch in 2001, that’s exactly what ghd straighteners have been providing to women all over the world!

The ghd IV styler was released in early 2007 and replaced the popular GHD Mk3. It was originally expected that ghd would release a Mk5, or ghd V styler in 2008, but the new styler never materialised, ghd instead choosing to concentrate on limited edition models of the IV, such as the dark or pure, purple and pink.
It has now been 2 1/2 years since the launch of the ghd IV and there is still no official confirmation from ghd that a ghd Mk5 model is on the way. Certainly the Mk4 was a huge improvement on the already fantastic Mk3, introducing a host of features such as auto shut off, universal voltage and the rounder barrel allowing the owner to create curls and flicks as well as the traditional straight hair. But is there still room for improvement?
Well, like any successful product, there is always scope to add features and improve design. What might these features be? Unfortunately we don’t know yet, but one feature that is missing from the ghd and is present in other leading straighteners, such as the corioliss is a digital temperature control. This would certainly seem a good place to start, but one things for sure those clever people at ghd are sure to pull some new features out of the bag that take us by surprise and take the styler up to another level.
We have a suspicion that there may be news on a ghd V, or ghd Mk5 model very soon, perhaps even in time for Christmas ‘09, so watch this space for more information!
